About HIFU Technology
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology focuses ultrasound waves on target tissue. Utilizing the tissue penetration and energy deposition properties of ultrasound, it focuses ultrasound generated outside the body onto diseased tissue inside the organism (the treatment target), achieving therapeutic effects through the mechanical, thermal, and cavitation effects of ultrasound.

Chongqing Haifu Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1999, dedicated to the clinical application, basic research, achievement transformation, product manufacturing, and sales services of systematic ultrasound therapy equipment. Its core technology—High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy technology—holds a leading position.
Centered on its core ultrasound therapy technology, Haifu has achieved serialization and industrialization of ultrasound therapy equipment. Its products have obtained EU CE certification (the world's first ultrasound therapy equipment to receive this certification) and KFDA certification, and have been exported to more than 10 developed countries and regions. Cumulatively, they have treated over 50,000 tumor patients and millions of non-tumor patients in more than 1,000 hospitals worldwide.
Haifu has a high-end international cooperation platform. Relying on the leading advantages of its core technology and adhering to independent intellectual property rights, it has established equal and win-win cooperative relationships with Japan's Olympus, Germany's Siemens, and others. Meanwhile, the "12th Five-Year Plan for National Strategic Emerging Industries Development" formulated by the State Council explicitly made institutional arrangements to "accelerate the development of high-performance medical treatment equipment based on High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), accelerate industrialization, and promote clinical application," marking that this emerging industry has officially been elevated to a "national strategy."
At the same time, the company has undertaken projects including the National 973 Program, National Ninth Five-Year Key Tackling Project, Key Project of the National Natural Science Foundation, the 12th Five-Year Support Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National 11th Five-Year Science and Technology Support Plan Project, the National Development and Reform Commission Industrialization Demonstration Project, and the Major Special Project of the Electronic Development Fund of the Ministry of Information Industry. It has also received major awards such as the National Technological Invention Second Prize (2000), the "Major Scientific and Technological Achievement Award" of the Ninth Five-Year National Key Science and Technology Tackling Plan (2001), the National Information Industry Major Technological Invention Award (2003), the National Key New Product (2004), the China Standards Innovation Contribution First Prize (2007), the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation "Science and Technology Progress Award" (2008, Wang Zhibiao), the National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize (2010), the National Innovative Enterprise (2010), and the Chongqing Science and Technology Progress First Prize twice (2001, 2009).


About Products
Currently, Haifu's main products include the JC-type focused ultrasound tumor therapy system, CZF-type ultrasound therapy device, CZB-type ultrasound rhinitis therapy device, Ashi ultrasound therapy device, and bone and joint therapy device, among others. Its research fields have covered ultrasound ablation treatment of benign and malignant tumors, gynecology, rhinitis, nursing, beauty, hemostasis, and many other areas.


About the National Engineering Research Center for Ultrasound Medicine
Established in October 2005, it is currently the only national engineering research center in China's digital medical device field. Relying on its leading advantages in international ultrasound therapy basic research, industrialization, and clinical application, the center aims to form an open achievement transformation center for the medical device industry with ultrasound medicine as the breakthrough.
The center relies on Chongqing Medical University and its affiliated clinical hospitals, as well as Haifu Medical, to establish an innovation system integrating industry, academia, and research in the field of ultrasound therapy. This includes the complete "undergraduate—master—doctor—postdoctoral" talent training system of the School of Biomedical Engineering at Chongqing Medical University, the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering (Provincial and Ministerial Co-built State Key Laboratory) and key disciplines, and the Cancer Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (the HIFU clinical training center approved by the Ministry of Health nationwide).
