Founded in 1988, Zhejiang Orient Group Co., Ltd. is a core enterprise under Zhejiang Provincial International Trade Group and one of the first batch of shareholding reform pilot enterprises approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 (stock code: 600120) and was selected as one of the top 500 listed companies in China in 2011.

After 25 years of trials and market tempering, Zhejiang Orient has grown from a provincial leading foreign trade enterprise into a comprehensive enterprise group integrating four major sectors: trade and logistics, manufacturing, real estate development, and quasi-financial investment. The main trade and logistics business, supported by an integrated industry chain, provides customers with supply chain integrated services covering import and export, domestic and foreign trade, manufacturing, and international logistics. The quasi-financial sector, developed in line with market trends, has formed three core business units: asset management, financial leasing, and industrial-financial investment. The real estate sector, with deep cultivation, has meticulously developed multiple high-quality residential projects such as Xixi Zijing Garden and Xindi Langjun. The manufacturing sector, vigorously advanced, has successfully cultivated well-known enterprise brands such as "Shidannu" and "Kelusi" as well as "Zhejiang Provincial Famous Trademarks". In 2012, the company achieved operating revenue of 7.934 billion yuan, total profit of 712 million yuan, net profit of 400 million yuan, total assets of 9.818 billion yuan, net assets of 3.644 billion yuan, and registered capital of 505 million yuan.
