本厂地处凉山彝族自治州越西县普雄镇紧临成昆铁路(距普雄火车站约一公里)运输发货方便；主要经营以苦荞麦为主的食品加工，原料采自四川省凉山彝族自治州高寒山区（海拔2000米以上）所产荞麦，公司的主要产品有苦荞麦面粉,苦荞麦粉条,荞麦壳。

据有关资料介绍,苦荞麦含粗蛋白质9.7至10.9％;粗脂肪1.5至3.4％,碳水化合物70％左右,粗纤维0.6至1.4％,粗灰分1.8至3.1％,每百克含钙15毫克,磷180毫克,铁1.2毫克,硫胺素0.38毫克,核黄素0.22毫克,尼克酸4.1毫克.营养成份的特点是:
1,蛋白质中的赖氨酸含量高,每百克达6.7克.
2,苦荞米中含有丰富的"芦丁"成份,所以是高血压,糖尿病患者理想的药用食品.
3,叶绿素是抗癌物质,苦荞米中含量极为丰富.
