KONE Elevators Nanchang Branch

In December 1996, KONE Elevators Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Kunshan, China, and is KONE Group's *main elevator and escalator production base in the Asia-Pacific region. It has a factory covering an area of approximately 142,000 square meters in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. In September 2012, in order to further enhance elevator and escalator production capacity and better adapt to the development of the Asian, especially Chinese, market, the KONE Kunshan production base and R&D center officially relocated to No. 88 Gucheng Middle Road, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. The new industrial park and R&D center were designed and planned according to lean production concepts, covering approximately 240,000 square meters, and are KONE's *largest production and R&D base globally with the *strongest R&D capabilities. In the same year, KONE China's business was separated from the former KONE Asia-Pacific region, and KONE Greater China was officially established, consisting of three parts: KONE Chinese mainland, KONE Hong Kong, and Taiwan. As of the end of 2014, KONE China's sales and service network covered 50 branches, 60 representative offices, and 368 service stations, with approximately 10,300 employees.
