In 2004, Wanda Group began investing in the construction of cinema terminals, building Wanda International Cinemas in Wanda commercial plaza projects nationwide. Wanda International Cinemas, built by Dalian Wanda Group, are five-star standard multi-screen cinemas. Wanda Group has opened multiple chain cinemas across the country, achieving remarkable box office performance. With first-class design and construction, advanced projection equipment, and an international service concept, Wanda International Cinemas provide audiences with an exceptional entertainment experience.

In 2007, Wanda Cinema Line distributed 152 films, including 102 domestic films, accounting for 66% of the total film supply. The annual box office revenue was 325 million yuan, of which domestic films contributed 160 million yuan, accounting for 49.21% of the total box office. The number of viewers reached 24.47 million, with domestic film viewers numbering 18.87 million, accounting for 77.11% of the total. The box office revenue of its 15 cinemas accounted for approximately 10% of the national film market, quickly ranking among the top cinema lines in China. On January 9, 2008, Beijing Wanda Longde International Cinema was established at Longde Plaza in Changping District, completing the 2007 goal of "Wanda Film 200 Screens."

In 2007, the completion of "200 Screens" by Wanda Cinema Line:
- Marked the initial exploration of a business model for the development of the film industry with Chinese characteristics;
- Marked Wanda Cinema Line as the most competitive, dynamic, and promising cinema line in China;
- Marked Wanda Cinema Line as the leading national brand in China's cinema line industry;
- Marked Wanda Group's basic market foundation to enter the upstream of the film industry;
- Marked Wanda Cinema Line's basic foundation to enter the Asian and even global film markets.

Monthly box office rankings of Wanda Cinema Line among national cinema lines:
- February 2005: Ranked 37th nationally, holding a 1% market share;
- March 2005: Ranked 11th nationally, holding a 2.5% market share;
- April 2005: Ranked 8th nationally, holding a 4.87% market share;
- September 2005: Ranked 5th nationally, holding over 6% of the market share.
- April 2007: Ranked 2nd nationally, holding a 12% market share.
- October 2007: Ranked 1st nationally, holding a 15% market share.

To date, Wanda Cinema Line has developed into a large cross-regional cinema line with 28 self-invested cinemas (with a cumulative investment of 600 million yuan), 226 screens, and approximately 50,000 seats, as well as 16 franchised cinemas with 45 screens, covering 21 cities across the country. With an annual audience of over 20 million, it has become China's largest cinema investor and operator, with a market capacity of 500 million yuan in annual box office revenue.

With the continuous growth of Wanda Film, the trend to build the core competitiveness of a national film brand has become increasingly clear: "high-standard cinema facilities, precise brand marketing strategies, humane service standards, differentiated product supply, and professional talent development mechanisms" have become the five basic elements highlighting Wanda Cinema Line's core competitiveness. Chairman Wang Jianlin of Wanda Group has set the following goals for Wanda Cinema Line: build over 10 cinemas and about 100 screens each year from 2007 to 2009; by 2010, basically own 70 directly invested cinemas, 600 screens, an average annual box office of 1.5 billion yuan; an average annual cash flow exceeding 200 million yuan; and an average annual cinema profit exceeding 100 million yuan.
