Hua Fu Securities, formerly known as Fujian Hua Fu Securities Company, was established in June 1988 and is one of the first batch of securities companies established in China. In April 2003, GF Securities was introduced as the controlling shareholder, and upon approval by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the company increased its capital, restructured, and changed its name to GF Hua Fu Securities Co., Ltd. In December 2010, GF Securities transferred its equity in the company in accordance with the law to Fujian Provincial Energy Group Co., Ltd., Fujian Provincial Transportation Group Co., Ltd., and Lianhua International Trust Co., Ltd. (now renamed Industrial International Trust Co., Ltd.). In August 2011, upon approval, the company was renamed Hua Fu Securities Co., Ltd., a wholly state-owned financial institution under the provincial government. Currently, the company has a registered capital of RMB 550 million, headquartered in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, with Chairman and President Huang Jinlin and more than 1,500 employees.
The company has three subsidiaries: Hua Fu Capital Investment Co., Ltd., Xingyin Investment Co., Ltd., and Hua Fu Fund Management Co., Ltd., 11 branches in Fuzhou, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and other locations, and 62 securities business offices in Fujian, Shanghai, and other places. The company's business scope includes securities brokerage; securities investment consulting; financial advisory services related to securities trading and securities investment activities; securities underwriting and sponsorship; proprietary securities trading; securities investment fund distribution; providing intermediary introduction services for futures companies; securities asset management; margin trading and securities lending; and financial product distribution agency. Currently, the company's investment banking business has all relevant licenses and qualifications in place.
