四川南充经济学院是经四川省政府批准成立，国家教育部备案的一所文、理、工、经、管相结合，开展高等学历教育和技能教育完美结合的教学模式，是以职业技能教育、短期职业资格培训及专本助学等的多学科综合性全日制高等教育学院，始建于1997年，现有人文、教育、财经、土木、通信、基础教育部（中专部）6个二级院系，学科专业40个。学校由校本部（老校区）、西华校区、南部校区、广安校区、阆中校区组成，占地530多亩，建筑面积30万平方米，在校在籍人数10000余人，教育生活配套设置完善，校园绿化达70%，是全省成立*早的高等职业院校之一。
