Dongfeng Honda Engine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dongfeng Honda) is a joint venture jointly invested by Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Honda Motor Co., Ltd., established on July 1, 1998. Together with GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GAC Honda), it forms the new Guangzhou sedan project. Dongfeng Honda is responsible for the development, production, and sales of engines and their parts for sedans, and provides corresponding after-sales services. Its products are mainly used in the series of passenger car models produced by GAC Honda. It also supplies cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, drive shafts, and other parts to Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Honda Automobile (China) Co., Ltd., and began exporting parts to Honda plants in Japan and Thailand at the end of 2005. Adhering to the business model of "starting on a small scale and developing through rolling expansion," the company has gone through four stages: workshop renovation, construction and trial production, gradual expansion of production capacity, and enhancement of competitiveness and steady development. It has now formed a manufacturing capacity of 480,000 engine assemblies and over 650,000 sets of parts annually.
