Guangdong Material Group Automobile Trading Company (trade name "Guangwu Automobile Trading") is a large-scale automobile chain operation enterprise integrating automobile sales, used car trading, vehicle leasing, maintenance and inspection, parts and supplies, credit consumption, international trade, e-commerce, and other businesses. Established in 1986, it is affiliated to Guangdong Material Group Corporation, one of the 20 large circulation enterprises nurtured by the state. Its headquarters is located in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, with over 4,000 employees and total assets of nearly 4.5 billion yuan.
In 2002, after being designated as one of the first batch of "provincial chain operation leading enterprises", the company accelerated its development. From 2003 to 2005, total assets increased from 2.73 billion yuan to 3.24 billion yuan; operating scale grew from 11.6 billion yuan to 14.1 billion yuan; taxes paid rose from 137 million yuan to 168 million yuan. Over the three years, it cumulatively sold 390,000 vehicles with an operating scale of 38.4 billion yuan, achieving an average annual growth rate of over 20%. According to statistics from the national domestic trade department, its automobile sales ranked first in the country, accounting for 25% of the Guangdong market in 2005. The number of chain stores increased from 83 to 129, with a net increase of 46. From 2006 to 2009, its operating scale ranked first in South China for three consecutive years.
Guangwu Automobile Trading now has over 150 automobile chain stores, distributed across various places in Guangdong Province and in regions such as Chongqing, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Jiangxi, and Shaanxi. Its operating area covers over 600,000 square meters, dealing in hundreds of different brands and models of automobiles. The "Che VIP Automobile Business Network" (***) hosted by the company is also a well-known automobile e-commerce website in China.
