UME Cinemas is a member enterprise of CMC Inc. and a member of CMC Cinemas.

UME is the abbreviation of the English phrase "Ultimate Movie Experience", meaning "Extraordinary · Movie · Experience". It originated in Beijing in 2002. With the splendid opening of the Huaxing Branch, it inaugurated a new era of high-end multi-screen cinemas in China. To date, it has experienced 16 years of steady development. Especially after being wholly acquired by CMC Inc. in 2017, UME, as a well-known cinema brand under CMC, has cooperated with CMC Inc.'s high-quality resources in the development, production, and domestic and international distribution of films within the full industry chain centered on premium content, deeply strengthening its boutique cinema chain capabilities, and gaining more profound industrial resource support and strong momentum for future development. As of April 2019, UME had invested in and operated 53 high-quality cinemas across 25 cities nationwide, ranking among the top 15 cinema investment companies in the country, and is praised as one of the cinema brands with the best operational efficiency and quality.
During 16 years of management and operation, UME Cinemas has always adhered to the business philosophy of "Leading because of professionalism". In terms of hardware, it adopts the latest state-of-the-art technologies: IMAX, UMEDMAX, China Giant Screen, LUXE, 4DX, Dolby Atmos, laser projection, DTS:X, etc. In terms of software services, it is people-oriented, providing audiences with meticulous and noble experiences from details. High-standard projection quality, warm smiling service, and the unique and rich cinematic cultural atmosphere within the cinemas have earned UME multiple honors such as "*Fashionable Cinema", "Cinema with the Highest Revenue per Seat", "Daily Box Office Champion Cinema", and "Designated Screening Cinema for Shanghai International Film Festival and Beijing International Film Festival", making it a benchmark in the industry.
In April 2019, CMC Inc. obtained a cross-province cinema chain license from the National Film Administration, and CMC Cinemas was officially established. CMC Cinemas will be based on the UME brand, adhere to the pursuit of excellence and boutique offerings, continue to uphold the concept of extraordinary movie experiences, combine the strengths of the group, explore new models of film, culture, and entertainment complexes in the broader cultural field, create new concepts of cultural dissemination landmarks, and continue to lead the new trends in Chinese cinema.
