福州市儿童福利院位于福州市杨桥西路28号，创建于1988年， 1994年被评为省一级福利院，全院占地面积33.3亩，主要负责接收社会弃婴和孤儿的事业单位。院内建有寄养楼、居室楼、康复教育楼，办公楼及1000多平方米的儿童乐园，有多种儿童游乐设施为孩子提供良好的室内外活动场所。
在院儿童近300多名，现收养的儿童70%以上具有不同类型的残疾，包括智残，肢残，视力、听力、语言残疾及其他复合残疾等。根据年龄、智力及健康等特点，院对收养的孤残儿童提供日常生活料理、预防保健、引导式教育、生活技能的培养、康复训练、心理疏导、特殊教育、专业技能培训等服务。
