Nanchang Meini Light Environment Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a research-oriented joint-stock enterprise. It has established two domestic-scale "Light Sculpture" production bases in Nanchang and Siping, and several branches in Dalian, Daqing, Tai'an, Suifenhe, etc., as well as multiple offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Harbin, Ordos, and other places. Nanchang Meini Light Environment Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a leading enterprise in the domestic light sculpture art and landscape lighting industry. It holds a Grade I qualification for professional contracting of urban and road lighting engineering and a Grade B qualification for special design of lighting engineering. It has professional capabilities in product research and development, urban functional lighting and landscape lighting planning and design, and manufacturing and installation of light sculptures and lighting engineering. "Light Sculpture" is a major scientific and technological achievement developed by Mr. Han Qiwen, Chairman of the company. It is a new art category that combines traditional sculpture art, modern lighting technology, and high-tech control methods. Its characteristic of being a sculpture by day and a landscape by night solves the problem in urban beautification and lighting construction that ordinary lighting works find it difficult to balance daytime and nighttime effects. It has made outstanding contributions to urban beautification and lighting construction and added a new treasure to the sacred temple of human art. As early as 2003, China Central Television gave a detailed report on this new art form of "Light Sculpture," calling it a magnificent flower in the art field. Chairman Han Qiwen is therefore known in the industry as China's "Light Sculpture" person, and the concept of "Light Sculpture" has been widely accepted by the lighting industry and all sectors of society. Some domestic universities have already included the term "Light Sculpture" in the teaching plans of their art schools. Because of this achievement, since 1998, Chairman Han Qiwen has been hired as a government light environment consultant by nine cities including Dalian, Nanchang, Daqing, Siping, and Harbin. In 2007, he was also hired by the National Urban Sculpture Committee as a technical consultant for light sculpture. Nanchang University, East China Jiaotong University, and Jilin Normal University have also respectively appointed Mr. Han Qiwen as a visiting professor in their art schools. For more than ten years, relying on scientific research and innovation, the company has embarked on a new path of urban beautification and lighting construction with its own characteristics. A large number of excellent light sculpture works are spread across the country, and the projects and works undertaken have won many domestic awards. In 2008, it successfully completed multiple "Light Sculpture" projects for the landscape construction of the Beijing Olympic Games, six of which were permanently retained in Beijing; the "Oil Cube" at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo became one of the brightest landscapes in the Expo park and won a Guinness World Record; at the three main venues of the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, light sculptures expressing the Asian Games spirit left a deep impression on foreign guests and domestic audiences attending the Asian Games; the 2009 Harbin World Congress and the Ordos Asian Art Festival also featured "Light Sculpture" works blooming at the host locations. The company is one of the domestic enterprises that applies LED light sources to urban landscape lighting engineering. Representative works in Nanchang include "Qingshan Lake Pearl," "Giant Thermometer," "Visitor from Outer Space," and more than twenty other works, with LED light sources accounting for over 80% of all light sources used. In particular, the "Giant Thermometer" light sculpture was among the early large-scale light sculptures in domestic urban beautification and lighting construction to be completed entirely with LED light sources, playing an important role in promoting the application of LED light sources in domestic landscape lighting engineering.
