Hubei Rongjun Hospital is a provincial comprehensive preferential care hospital with a glorious revolutionary tradition, founded in 1949. It covers a total area of 112.07 mu, approximately 152,000 square meters, with a total of 1,949 beds. After 75 years of development, it has formed a development pattern of "one hospital, two campuses, two centers," currently comprising the Yangjiawan Campus and the Nanhu Campus (Hubei Medical Care and Rehabilitation Center). The Yangjiawan Campus integrates medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, and preventive healthcare, while the Nanhu Campus integrates medical rehabilitation, elderly care services, and health management. The hospital has now become a large general hospital with complete departments, advanced equipment, and a strong team of expert technical personnel. Among them, departments such as Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine enjoy excellent reputations both within and beyond the province. In 2024, the hospital successfully passed the establishment approval for a tertiary rehabilitation hospital, passed the "National Four-Star Elderly Care Institution" assessment, and more than ten scientific research projects were approved. Currently, there are 90 personnel with master's degrees or above, 78 personnel with associate senior or above professional technical titles, and 1 person selected for the Hubei Shizhen Talent Project. The hospital has 42 internal departments, with 24 clinical and medical technology departments and 33 specialties, including Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Nephrology, General Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, and Urology. Among them, the Rehabilitation Medicine Department is a provincial key specialty integrating sub-specialties such as neurorehabilitation, bone and joint rehabilitation, pain rehabilitation, and critical care rehabilitation. The Geriatric Medicine Department is a pilot unit for hospice care in Hubei Province and a construction unit of the National Standardized Cardiac Rehabilitation Center under the National Cardiovascular Disease Management Capacity Assessment and Improvement Project. The Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department has been awarded the standardized certification for respiratory rehabilitation by the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and rated as a compliant construction unit.
