    University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Knowledge Exchange Assistant. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, multi-tasking external-facing team dedicated to drive support knowledge exchange activities across all disciplines. The post is expected to provide administrative professional support to the team administration of the RKE Office efficiently to a high standard, across a wide range of activities ranging from collaborative research with industry partners, technology transfer, innovation entrepreneurship to policy public engagement. With a University degree in a relevant subject equivalent qualifications, the candidate is expected to have well-developed planning skills particularly workflow management, written verbal communication skills, with experience in delivering projectsganising events within deadline, budget, meeting objectives with strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience of working in a multi-cultural academic environment experience in an industry area will be desirable.

    The purpose of the role is to assist in the knowledge exchange team administration of the Department by providing support advice to staff efficiently to a high standard.

    Your key responsibilities include:

    -Planganise own/team activities to ensure that deadlines/customer expectations are met.
    -Planganise internal external engagement events within budgets, schedules specific end date; arrange meetings, appointments travel arrangements.
    -Participate in co-ordinate work unit-based projects development activities.
    -Input the annual resource planning process to ensure that resource requirements of own work area are recognised.
    -Communicate build working relationships with key contacts from other school/departmental/work units as well as external bodies, to support own work activities.
    -Advise on pricing purchasing of equipment/software/materials, following liaison with suppliers.
    -Attend meetings, as requested by manager, to support school/departmental/work unit activities to report back on main discussion points.
    -Provide professional efficient support to team members to ensure smooth operation of the KE team.
    -Provide advice to peers customers to respond independently resolve a range of standard unforeseen issues, within pre-determined operational limits.
    -Advise and/train service users on specific aspects within own section of work such as design/preparation/use of existing systems, services processes.
    -Diagnose rectify faults/problems with systems and/procedures within own area.
    -Advise on propose changes in procedures, plans, priorities office systems to improve operational efficiency quality of service in own work area.
    -Keep skills up to date develop depth breadth of knowledge in a particular area through learning from more senior/experienced colleagues, exposure to a range of activities, and/formal training/professional qualification.
    -Research, collate,ganise edit material finclusion in reports/documents.
    -Identify gaps shortfalls in information search fsources of information to fill these.
    -Analyse data/statistics, interpreting reporting patterns trends highlighting prioritising any issues ffurther investigation to support informed decision making.
    -Show sensitivity consideration to other peoples customer needs feelings, which may include dealing with signs of obvious distress (e.g. individual in tears).
    -Advise gain the support of other people (e.g. staff, students, contractors, external agents), where there is no line management responsibility, inder to contribute to the delivery of services/project objectives.
