北京市律师协会是依法成立的社会团体法人，是北京律师的自律性行业组织，依据《中华人民共和国律师法》、《律师协会章程》，对北京执业律师实行行业管理。2019年7月23日，第六届“政法系统新媒体应用案例”推选活动获奖名单揭晓，北京市律师协会获得全国司法行政系统“十佳新媒体案例奖”。北京市律师协会始建于1952年，恢复于1979年8月10日，1982年4月召开了*次北京律师代表大会，宣告北京市律师协会正式成立，通过了北京市律师协会*个《章程》。这是北京律师制度发展史上的一座里程碑。
