定安县人民医院始建于1950年，是定安县境内*一间综合性二级甲等医院和爱婴医院。医院占地120亩,建设面积31000平方米的新定安县人民医院在省委、省政府和县委、县政府的亲切关怀和大力支持下，已于2012年10月9日正式搬迁启用。新医院建有十一层的住院大楼，六层医技门诊楼，急诊楼、发热、肠道门诊、感染楼、氧气站、污水处理间、太平间等，除了这些建筑物外，还建有楼间互通长廊，多功能停车场，花园式的园林绿化地，绿化面积达80亩，目前医院设有临床科室15个，医技科室6个，门诊部设有9个门诊等。
