Jiangxi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital

Jiangxi Provincial Mental Health Center (Jiangxi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital, Psychiatric Hospital Affiliated to Nanchang University) is a wholly state-owned differential appropriation public institution affiliated to Nanchang Municipal Health Commission. Its predecessor was the * Preparatory Hospital established in 1951, which was renamed Jiangxi Provincial * Rehabilitation Hospital in 1953, with a psychiatric ward set up within it. In June 1956, the Rehabilitation Hospital was abolished, and on the basis of the psychiatric ward, Jiangxi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital was officially established. It is a Grade 3A psychiatric specialty hospital with a history of seventy years, integrating functions of medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, psychological rehabilitation, community service, and judicial appraisal. It is also a medical psychology specialty hospital with strong technical strength in Jiangxi Province, the provincial mental health center, the provincial professional quality control center for mental diseases, the affiliated unit of the Psychiatry Professional Committee and the Medical Psychology Professional Committee of the Jiangxi Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a cooperative hospital of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, a core cooperative unit of the National Clinical Research Center for Mental and Psychological Diseases, and a * standardized residency training base.
Jiangxi Provincial Mental Health Center currently has two campuses, Qingshanhu Campus and Qingyunpu Campus, with a total of 730 employees, including 83 with senior professional titles and more than 40 with doctoral or master's degrees or above. The hospital currently has more than 1,600 open beds.
