在张永明院长的带领下，工科院不断发展壮大，注册资金500万元，固定资产8000万元。现拥有经验丰富的专业技术人员50多名，具有国家注册工程师25名，高工10名，返聘退休高工5名作为技术顾问，技术力量雄厚，现持有国家发改委颁发的“乙级、丙级工程咨询资格证书”，省经信委颁发的省级以上能源评估资质，是省政府指定的重点中小企业服务机构。自成立以来，已完成各类项目千余项，获多项国家专利及国家、省、市科技成果奖。
