Shanghai NQA Certification Co., Ltd. (Shanghai NQA) is abbreviated as SNQA or NQA. Shanghai NQA is a Sino-foreign joint venture established by the UK-based National Quality Assurance Limited (abbreviated as NQA, a third-party certification body accredited by UKAS and ANAB) and Beijing Century Taitai Investment Co., Ltd., approved by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) and registered with the industry and commerce administration, with independent legal person status.
In 2006, National Quality Assurance Limited was incorporated into the UK NICEIC Group and continued to operate under the name of the NICEIC Group Certification Department ('NICEIC, Trading as NQA'), conducting certification business with UKAS and ANAB accreditation, and still abbreviated as NQA. The NICEIC Group Certification Department (NQA-UK), Shanghai NQA (SNQA), and NQA-USA became the three headquarters of the NQA global system. SNQA is responsible for the Asia-Pacific region, using NQA's common certification resources to issue NQA management system certificates accredited by UKAS and ANAB. At the same time, SNQA can develop and apply for new certification businesses on behalf of NQA and provide global technical support to overseas offices, becoming an indispensable part of NQA. NQA establishes and operates a globally unified documented management system to ensure that certification quality effectively meets globally consistent standards. As part of the NQA global system, SNQA implements NQA's system documents and globally unified policies and objectives.
Certification activities conducted by SNQA in mainland China must be approved by CNCA, strictly comply with Chinese laws and regulations, adhere to relevant industry standards, and accept the management and supervision of national certification and accreditation regulatory authorities and other relevant agencies. Overseas business in the Asia-Pacific region must be conducted within NQA's accredited scope and comply with local laws and regulations.
SNQA is equipped with necessary full-time personnel, office facilities, and communication equipment, responsible for daily contract management, certification audit management, and education and training related to certification. SNQA has established and implemented a certification auditor evaluation system based on professional competence, possessing a high-level technical team of auditors registered domestically and internationally, capable of providing value-added certification services to enterprises.
