浙江省仙居种鸡场是80年代初由农业部牵头投资建成的祖代种鸡场，也是国内*的仙居鸡祖代种鸡场。现已发展为集仙黄牌仙居鸡保种和育种、供应仙居鸡父母代种鸡、商品代雏鸡及种蛋、商品鸡饲养、屠宰深加工等生产、供应、加工、销售一体化的企业，是台州市十强农业龙头企业，并在2011年5月被农业部授予*仙居鸡保种场。自2009年7月以来，企业投资5600万元建成了占地200亩，拥有保种舍、育种舍、育成舍、种鸡舍、孵化舍、饲料仓库、兽医化验室、全自动屠宰加工生产线等设施的现代化种鸡场。
