由叁座山峰相依而成，海拔184米，自然风光秀丽，景物得天独厚，人文景观奇特。山上丹崖翠壁，泉丰林秀；春风长驻，四时花开；石景遍布，佳致叠出；奇岩异洞，各具姿态。
大自然的灵气给东山岭造就了雄奇俊致的美景。七峡巢云、正笏凌宵、仙舟系缆、蓬莱香窟、瑶台望海、冠盖飞霞、海眼流丹、碧水环龙，此八景驰名中外。登山一般从"云路初阶"开始，有山高路远之意。沿花岗石道拾级而上，但风峰峦屏立，怪石擎天。一路上，山花烂漫，峰回路转。山上古今石刻历历在目，尤以"海南*山"、"南天斗宿"、"洞天福地"、"东山耸翠"等*为壮观。
