A young enterprise with over 280 years of history, German Zwilling J.A. Henckels is a benchmark in the world of knife and scissors manufacturing. Registered in a church in Solingen, Germany in 1731 under the astrological sign of Gemini, it has weathered storms yet remains sharp as ever. Its products, numbering over 2,000, reach 146 countries and regions. In 1995, German Zwilling entered China. To date, Shanghai Zwilling employs more than 1,000 staff and owns subsidiaries: Shanghai Zwilling J.A. Henckels Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Zwilling J.A. Henckels Kitchenware Co., Ltd., producing knives, scissors, and kitchenware respectively. With Shanghai as its China headquarters, it has established five branch companies in Wuhan, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Qingdao, and Beijing. To date, over 100 Zwilling counters and stores are present in upscale department stores, shopping centers, and outlet malls across major cities nationwide.
