苏州西山中科实验动物有限公司成立于1999年，由苏州西山国家现代农业示范园区独家投资。公司占地约100,000 m2,总资产超过1亿元。公司2001年被江苏省科技厅批准为“江苏省大型实验动物供应基地”，2002年批准建立“江苏省动物实验开放性实验室”，2003年批准建立“江苏省动物实验开放服务中心”,并于2006年成立苏州药物安全性评价研究中心，主要从事临床前药理毒理安全性评价的研究。目前本中心已通过国家药品监督管理局复查验收，成为国家GLP重点实验室。
公司现为华东地区*的非人灵长类动物饲养繁育基地。经过多年的发展建立了良好的营销网络，有稳定的国内和国外客户。非人灵长类实验动物和Beagle犬畅销于北美、东南亚等国家。
