河北省胸科医院隶属于河北省卫生计生委，始建于1930年，系一所集医疗、教学、科研、公共卫生、应急救援为一体的，以诊断、治疗结核病及呼吸系统等胸部疾病为主的省级三级专科医院，是省市医保、城乡医保定点医院，是河北医科大学非隶属的教学医院，还是河北中医学院、河北北方学院、河北大学的教学医院。2017年11月医院被确定为呼吸系统疑难病症诊治能力提升工程项目建设单位。省政府确定的全省耐药结核病诊治基地，河北省结核病质控中心的挂靠单位。
