Shanghai Green Valley Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Shanghai Green Valley Group and the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a traditional Chinese medicine enterprise integrating scientific research, production, and sales. Adhering to the concept of "using modern technology to interpret traditional classics," the company is committed to advancing the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine in China. Located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai, the company covers an area of 25,000 square meters, with a standard factory building area of 20,000 square meters. The total investment is RMB 120 million, with registered capital of RMB 50 million. The company has workshops for capsules, granules, tablets, and lyophilized powder injections that have passed GMP certification. Its flagship product, "Salvianolate for Injection," is a milestone product in modern traditional Chinese medicine. It is a national Class II new drug with independent intellectual property rights, and its related technologies have been authorized with both Chinese and American patents. The clinical efficacy evaluation standards conform to "international evaluation standards," and it is hailed as a milestone product in the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine that exemplifies "using modern technology to interpret traditional classics." Due to the surge in sales of Green Valley Pharmaceutical's product Salvianolate for Injection, the production capacity of the lyophilized powder injection workshop in Zhangjiang could no longer meet market demand. Therefore, in August 2012, a new factory was constructed at No. 888 Huijin Road, Qingpu Industrial Park. The new factory covers an area of 30,000 square meters, with a total investment of RMB 250 million, and began formal production in June 2015. In 2025, the number of employees is 300, and sales of "Salvianolate for Injection" amount to RMB 400 million.
