新丰县妇幼保健院创建1957年1月，是非营利性保健机构；土地使用面积477.6平方米，业务用房面积1508平方米。妇幼保健院是新丰县妇女、儿童的医疗、保健、健康教育、培训、妇幼卫生信息、业务技术指导中心；是婚前医学检查指定单位，广州市妇女儿童医院协作单位，广东省妇幼保健院宫颈疾病、乳腺疾病防治中心分中心。我院设有儿童保健部、妇女保健部、孕产保健部，妇产科住院部、儿科（新生儿科）住院部、超声室、化验室、放射室等，医院在人才引进、培养、使用方面坚持人尽其才、才尽其用的原则，每年选派大批中青年骨干赴省市进修学习。
