公司成立于2008年7月25日，由北京京能电力股份有限公司与格盟国际能源有限公司以51%和49%的比例投资组建，注册资本6亿元，投资30.32亿元，建设和运营两台330循环流化床空冷机组，2011年12月29日、2012年1月16日，两台机组相继投运。2013年以来，公司陆续完成了机组增容，集中供热，超低排放、灵活性深度调峰改造。2015年被中国电力企业联合会认定为“”级信用企业，2016年荣获“山西省五一劳动奖状”，“山西省安全文明示范企业”称号。
