Shanghai Credit

Shanghai Credit Information Co., Ltd. was established in 1999, based on the instruction of then Premier Zhu Rongji of the State Council, approving the pilot of personal credit companies in Shanghai, and was approved by the People's Bank of China with the document Yin Ban Han [1999] No. 322. It is a national institution engaged in personal credit investigation business. In 2000 and 2002, Shanghai Credit Information Co., Ltd. issued the first personal credit report and the first personal credit score in mainland China since the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 2009, the Credit Reference Center of the People's Bank of China officially became the controlling shareholder of Shanghai Credit Information.

Shanghai Credit Information and its subsidiaries are engaged in traditional businesses such as credit investigation, credit rating, and government special assessment, while also focusing on innovative businesses including inclusive finance and online financial credit investigation services, credit information sharing in non-bank credit areas, development of value-added products for credit investigation, and commercial account management. In addition, by building a one-stop comprehensive service platform for small and micro finance, Shanghai Credit Information and its subsidiaries provide fast, efficient, and one-stop comprehensive solutions to small and micro financial institutions such as financial leasing, small loans, financing guarantees, commercial factoring, consumer finance, and online lending, and help these institutions connect to the credit reference system.

As the vice president unit of the Shanghai Credit Service Industry Association, the director unit of the Shanghai New Financial Credit Management Professional Committee, and the supervisory unit of the Shanghai Internet Finance Industry Association, Shanghai Credit Information will make greater contributions to promoting the interconnection of credit information and serving inclusive finance.
