College of Mobile Telecommunications, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a full-time private regular undergraduate higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education, located in the core area of Hechuan University Town, Hechuan District, Chongqing. The campus is nestled among mountains and rivers with an elegant environment, covering an area of over 2,131 mu. It currently has more than 21,000 students and nearly 1,200 full-time teachers. It is a new-type modern university with complete functions, advanced supporting facilities and equipment, and is humanistic, digital, ecological, and internationalized. It is equipped with first-class facilities such as standardized laboratories, a modern grand theater, a high-standard library, Wenhua Cinema, an all-weather sports field, and an indoor heated swimming pool. It has won dozens of honors at all levels, including National Top Ten Outstanding Independent Colleges, China's Most Valuable Independent College Brand, and 2012 Top Ten Brand Independent Colleges.
The college currently has 9 secondary schools, including the School of Communication and Internet of Things Engineering, the School of Intelligent Engineering, the School of Big Data and Software, the Cuilian Business School, the Yuanjing School, the Sino-German College of Applied Technology, the School of Art and Media, the School of Foreign Languages, and the School of Digital Economy and Information Management; 11 residential colleges, including Ailian College, Huaguo College, Biedu College, Nanhu College, and Tianqu College; 4 teaching departments, including the Ideological and Political Teaching Department and the General Education Teaching Department; and multiple distinctive departments such as the Complete Education Committee, the Creative Writing School, the Dual-System Excellence Talent Education Base, the Fishing City Science Fiction Center, the Fishing City Research Institute, and the German Research Institute. It offers a total of 36 undergraduate majors, including Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Rail Transit and Signal Control, Financial Management, Engineering Management, and Radio and Television Directing, as well as 4 associate degree majors, including Communication Technology and Business Enterprise Management, forming a major system dominated by engineering and featuring the cross-integration and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as management and arts.

The college has distinctive educational characteristics, strong talent cultivation measures, and a rich campus cultural atmosphere. Through professional laboratories, on-campus and off-campus internship and training bases, student science and technology competition training bases, and public teaching platforms, it builds an engineering training innovation platform for students and vigorously cultivates applied information technology talents. It established Chongqing's first entrepreneurship college and built a college student entrepreneurship base to comprehensively promote entrepreneurship education and practice. Drawing on foreign educational models, it explores a new talent cultivation mechanism for the Yuanjing School; builds a dual-system excellence talent education base seamlessly connected with enterprises, and carries out a comprehensive engineering education system for talent cultivation, including quality development, innovation credits, engineering training, and Yitong online learning. It builds a platform for elite education integrating art practice and appreciation, competitive sports, premium club activities, and volunteer services; enlightens wisdom through face-to-face meetings with famous experts, and creates a cultural Yitong calling card through celebrity lectures, master classes, musicals, youth theaters, Wenhua Cinema, etc., exploring the innovative education path of "Cultural Yitong."
The college actively expands international cooperation and exchange, introduces and draws on advanced foreign educational concepts and management experience, and accelerates international alignment in teacher training, major development, internships, and practical training. Since cooperating with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany to jointly establish the Sino-German College of Applied Technology, the college has established long-term intercollegiate cooperative relations with more than ten universities in Germany, the United States, and India, and hosted the Sino-German International Education Forum in 2013. The college extensively carries out Chinese-foreign joint master's and undergraduate dual-degree education programs. So far, more than 100 students have been successfully sent to German partner universities for study, and more than 1,000 students are preparing to go to Germany.
The college attaches importance to motivating faculty and staff and building good employee relations. In addition to regular salaries, it has complete facilities to enrich the lives of faculty and staff and regularly organizes various activities. The college has its own cinema and regularly provides free movie tickets to teachers; it has a standard swimming pool and regularly holds themed pool parties; the college has a gym for teachers and students to exercise and relax for free; the college also has various facilities such as Xiangzhang Residential College, Puti Residential College, Huaguoshan Theater, Madao Corridor Garden, the river-view sky garden of Teaching Building No. 5, a small theater, a rooftop river-view sky garden, a swimming pool sky garden, a heated swimming pool, and a grand theater for teachers and students to relax and hold activities. Starting from the 2012-2013 academic year, the college established the "Yuanjing Outstanding Teacher Million Reward Fund" to reward outstanding teachers. Applicants are not restricted by educational background or professional title. Winning teachers can receive rewards ranging from 50,000 yuan to 5,000 yuan each, and the proportion of winners exceeds 10% of the number of teachers.
