我院地处盘县盘江镇，交通便利。距六盘水200公里（乘汽车4小时、火车3小时），距红果30公里（乘汽车半小时，乘火车1小时）。原名：盘关区人民医院，后改为盘江镇卫生院。现有在职人员23人，聘任12人，共35人。科室设置齐全，人员基本技能扎实，现能开展一般普外手术、四肢骨折手术、妇产科大多数手术，但由于人员结构不太满意，现需招聘有丰富临床经验的外科医生一名。要求能够胜任普外、骨外手术。
