大冶市职业技术学校是湖北省重点中等职业学校，湖北省重点建设规划中职学校，湖北省技工教育联盟单位。现有校园占地面积208亩，建有湖北省高技能人才培训基地、大冶市公共实训基地、2个黄石市级技能大师工作室。学校设置三系一部（信息商贸系、智能制造系、芳香服务系、公共课部），常设汽车维修（新能源）、数控加工、机电技术应用、电子商务（会计）、计算机应用与维修、烹饪、乡村振兴（农学高考班）、美容美发与造型、旅游服务与管理、幼儿保育、护理等专业，现有专兼职教师336人，其中，兼职教师占13%。中级、副职称教师占18%，技师占24%，“双师型”教师占45%。学校在开展学制教育的同时，积极面向社会、企业开展职业技能培训、新型学徒制培训、职业技能等级认定工作。
