大竹县育才小学始建于2002年8月，位于大竹县高明乡高明街，地处大竹县与垫江县交界处，东到垫江县，西至大竹城，北通周家镇，南达石子镇，距县城42公里，垫江34公里，竹垫路、观文路的交汇处，交通十分便利。学校占地面积3000余平方米，现有教职工20余人，有幼儿园和小学，共9个班级，学生400余人。我校于2006年9月被达州市人事局，达州市民政局评为先进民间组织。今年，新建了综合楼、餐厅与学生宿舍、幼儿部综合教学楼、操场硬化，校容校貌发生了翻天覆地的变化，城乡教育均衡发展得到充分体现。
