该服务站是原钢铁公司医院转型为社区卫生服务站，属综合型卫生服务站。
工作人员可以吃饭、住宿在该服务站，在区卫生局领导下，主要为我省*大的钢铁企业建龙钢铁有限公司、社区居民的医保、防疫、慢性病等医疗工作。服务站近年来为我市招商引资，为建龙服务做出了特殊工作，特别在非典时期广大医疗工作者不不顾个人安危，保证了该区的防疫工作，受到了有关部门的嘉奖和好平。在居民防疫工作和儿童接种疫苗等工作都在区和市卫生局领导的多次表扬。
