通海秀山医院位于通海县秀山镇秀山西路40号，创建于1997年10月，是一所二级甲等综合医院。医院经过二十二年的努力，经历了从无到有，从有到优的建设发展历程，现已成为县域内示范性民营医院，并成为昆明医学院第二附医院业务指导医院，云南省职业学院教学医院。2015年医院与玉溪市人民医院签订了国家卫生计生委脑卒中筛查与防治基地医院协作网络医院合作协议、急性胸痛联合救治协议及双向转诊协议，为急危重症患者在短时间内得到救治提供了保障。
