Cosma International has 38 plants and 12 R&D centers globally, providing engineering development and manufacturing of complete vehicle bodies and chassis systems to customers worldwide. As an automotive body and chassis system supplier, Cosma International possesses multiple technological capabilities, such as hot stamping of body structural parts, stamping of outer panels, roll forming, hydroforming, cold bending, as well as electromagnetic arc welding, robotic welding, and 3D laser cutting. Cosma International entered the Chinese market in 2005, with its China headquarters located in Shanghai. Its main domestic customers currently include Shanghai GM, Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen, Beijing Benz, BMW Brilliance, Changan Ford Mazda, Guangzhou Honda, Beijing Hyundai, BYD, XPeng, NIO, etc., and some products are also exported to international markets.
Changsha Cosma Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. is the fourth subsidiary invested by Magna-Cosma International in China. The company was established in May 2011, located in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone (Xingsha Industrial Park), with a registered capital of 40 million USD and a total investment of 90 million USD. The company mainly engages in the R&D, testing, manufacturing of drive axle assemblies and automotive-related parts such as bodies and chassis, and related tooling, sells its self-produced products, and provides technical and after-sales services.
