Introduction to Wuhan Dafang School
Wuhan Dafang School, founded in 2003, is a full-time boarding school approved by the education authorities, featuring Chinese classics, traditional Chinese medicine, and English education. It is the first in Hubei Province and the second nationwide to be designated a 'Chinese Confucius Society Education Base.' In 2010, it was awarded the title of 'National Advanced Private Education Collective' by the Ministry of Education.
The founders of Dafang School are two postdoctoral siblings of the Yu family, who come from a scholarly family. Mr. Yu Yiqing holds a Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science at Wuhan University and completed postdoctoral research at the School of Economics and Management. He is currently the Chairman of an IT company and the Chairman of Dafang School. Ms. Yu Yiyan holds a Ph.D. from France and completed postdoctoral research at Wuhan University. She is currently the School Supervisor of Dafang School. Under the advocacy of Mr. Nan Huaijin, a master of Chinese studies, and the promotion of Professor Wang Caigui, Dr. Yu Yiyan joined the mainland children's classics recitation movement as part of the Chinese Cultural Reconstruction Project in her early years, becoming one of the earliest promoters of classics recitation education in mainland China. Moved by the call of Mr. Zhang Zai of the Song Dynasty to 'establish the heart of heaven and earth, establish the destiny of the people, continue the lost teachings of past sages, and open peace for all generations,' the Yu siblings, with the dream of strengthening the nation through education and reviving China, devoted themselves to basic education and founded a new-style classics school, aiming to cultivate a group of cultural seeds who 'study with the ambition of sages, not merely for imperial examinations.'

Dafang School currently has four branches: the Primary Department and Middle School Department at the Jiangxia Campus, the Wuchang Early Childhood Education Center, and the Canadian International High School. It has nearly 400 faculty and staff, including foreign teachers, and over 1,500 enrolled students. It is a modern international school integrating kindergarten, primary, middle, and high school education.
