南阳理工学院建筑设计院成立于1988年4月，是经河南省建设厅批准成立的具备乙级民用建筑设计资质的设计单位。院内实行院长负责，下设前期工室，设计一室、二室，综合室，财务室，总工室，院长办公室和独立的资料室，晒图室等。现有职工29人，其中一级注册建筑师2名，一级注册结构结构师2人，二级注册师7人，目前已形成了民用建筑设计、城市规划、工程咨询策划等全方面的科学化服务管理体系。
本院自成立以来，以“内强素质、外树形象、提高设计创作水平”为宗旨，励精图治，开拓创新。十多年来，设计院在市场经济的大潮中抓着机遇，锐意进取，把握市场规律，先后完成300多万平方米的工程设计。
