Nanchang Institute of Science and Technology

Nanchang Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It is among the first batch of pilot institutions for the "1+X Certificate System" in China and among the first batch of pilot institutions for transformation and development in Jiangxi Province. In 2017, it successfully passed the qualification assessment for undergraduate teaching work, and in 2021, it was designated by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education as a construction unit for applying for master's degree authorization.

The university is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, adjacent to the provincial administrative center and the high-speed railway station. It covers an area of over 1,600 mu and has more than 25,000 students and over 1,500 faculty and staff, including more than 400 teachers with senior professional titles and more than 150 doctoral degree holders. It has 9 secondary schools, including the School of New Energy Vehicles, School of Business and Trade, School of Wealth Management, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Human Settlements and Environment, School of Media and Design, School of Marxism, School of Physical Education, and School of Education. It offers 55 undergraduate programs covering seven disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and arts. It has 19 platforms, including the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Laboratory for Digital Manufacturing of Automobile Parts, the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory (Cultivation Base) for Intelligent Building Networks, a provincial-level makerspace, and the Nanchang Key Laboratory for DME Optoelectronic Engineering Application Research. It has 1 provincial-level key discipline and 3 provincial-level comprehensive reform pilot programs. In 2020, it was approved for the Nanchang Doctoral Research and Innovation Center, and in 2021, it was approved for a National Natural Science Foundation of China project.
