2003年9月青海煤业集团鱼卡有限责任公司成立。鱼卡矿区井田面积约4.5平方公里，地质储量为1.33亿吨。产品有块煤、渣煤、原煤、配煤等，所产原煤属长焰煤，发热量在5000－6000大卡。公司初步设计生产原煤90万吨，二期改扩建生产原煤180万吨／年，叁期为300万吨／年，到十一五末力争达到1000万吨／年。
项目内容:投资1.6亿元与海西州大头羊煤矿合作，共同发起设立股份合作公司，对鱼卡矿区尕秀精查区进行建设开发，建设60万吨/年矿井。以后根据市场需求，逐步扩大到90-120万吨／年生产能力
