福建三钢(集团)三明化工有限责任公司成立1958年，2000年10月经省政府批准,从工厂制改为公司制。2007年1月18日，省政府决定，三化公司整体划入福建三钢(集团)有限责任公司。
三化公司是福建省*大的化肥生产企业，是以生产基本化工原料和化肥为主的国家大型一档企业。公司主要产品生产能力为：年产总氨32万吨、加工尿素45万吨、三聚氰胺1.5万吨、精甲醇15万吨、甲醛5万吨、白炭黑1.2万吨、年发电2.5亿千瓦时、供热310万吉焦耳、年机械加工能力2000吨、年复混肥5万吨。具有一、二类压力容器制造许可资质。
