Chongqing Songzao Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Songzao Power Company") was established on June 6, 2003, located in Anwen Town, Qijiang District, Chongqing, adjacent to the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway, with convenient transportation. On December 23, 2015, the company cooperated with Singapore's Sembcorp Group to establish a Sino-foreign joint venture, initiating the mixed-ownership reform process of Chongqing Energy Group and marking the company's official transformation into a China-Singapore joint venture. Among them, Chongqing Songzao Coal and Power Co., Ltd. holds 51% equity, and Sembcorp (China) Investment Company holds 49% equity. As a key project of Chongqing's energy construction and a China-Singapore cooperation energy project implemented in Chongqing, Songzao Power Company's success model will become a demonstration of China-Singapore cooperation and Chongqing-Singapore cooperation. The company's Phase I 2×150MW circulating fluidized bed generating units were connected to the grid for power generation in the first half of 2006. Currently, on the basis of the Phase I project, the company is expanding 2×660MW domestic supercritical coal-fired generating units in accordance with the principle of "coal-power integration, mine-mouth power plant". The expansion project is one of the key power projects in Chongqing's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", with a controlled investment of 4.671 billion yuan. At present, Units 3 and 4 have successfully completed the 168-hour trial operation and entered production operation.
