I. Hospital Introduction: University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University is a public health service institution planned and approved for construction by the Chongqing Municipal Government. It is a non-profit comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, and preventive healthcare, planned and constructed according to the standards of a Grade 3A hospital, with 1,500 planned beds. The hospital opened on October 11, 2011, with an initial 400 beds, and was expected to open 1,200 beds by 2015. It has now become a designated hospital for Chongqing residents' medical insurance, employees' medical insurance, work injury insurance, medical care for retired cadres, special disease assessment, and the “Million Cataract Restoration Project”.
