Join our Ecosystem team, a cross-functional group of engineers product partners building the platforms integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers rely on every day. We own strategic accounting, marketplace, payment plugins, open‑banking integrations, as well as the infrastructure that powers our public APIs that enabling third-party partners to build on top of. You’ll work closely with backend, product, design, go‑to‑market teams to ship secure, reliable experiences that simplify financial operations fbusinesses of all sizes unlock new use cases on top of the Airwallex business account.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies contribute to the growth success of our company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, maintain the ecosystem platform, build integrate APIs to connect with external financial institutions third-party platforms(accounting, HR, ERP, marketplace, etc.), develop scalable solutions to support our ecosystem strategy. You will also have the chance to work closely with product managers designers to deliver innovative features functionalities, as well as contribute to the technical roadmap provide input on new technologies best practices.

Responsibilities
1.Collaborating with business/product teams to fully understbusiness needs, scenarios, future development directions.
2.Leading the planning, design, implementation of customer requirements.
3.Establishing maintaining internal coding standards.
4.Developing maintaining integrations with majaccounting platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks on various use cases(bank feeds, expenses, invoice payment, etc.).
5.Designing developing features fpayment plugins integrated with various e-commerce platforms(Shopify, Shopline, WooCommerce, etc.).

Required Qualifications
1.Bachelors degree in Computer Science a related field.
2.3+ years of experience in developing Internet applications, large financial systems, e-commerce platforms.
3.Proficient in coding scripting languages(Java/Kotlin/C++/Python, etc.).
4.Deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, best practices of your primary programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications
1.Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD).
2.Exposure to microservice architectures, observability, cloud-native infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
3.Knowledge experience of building plugins in NetSuite, Salesforce, Shopify
4.Domain knowledge on accounting payments.
5.Experience with integrating AI/LLM models production systems.

Responsibilities:
- Design implement backend services fcompany products, developing high-performance backend services using Node.js / Golang.
- Monitoptimize service performance by applying caching, message queues, effective database tuning to enhance system stability scalability.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree higher, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, a closely related discipline.
- 3+ years of backend development experience (this requirement may be relaxed fexceptional candidates).
- Proficient in database schema design online performance optimization.
- Experience with using caching (e.g. Redis), message queues, search technologies (e.g. Elasticsearch) to optimize business performance.
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker Kubernetes, with experience deploying managing projects in a production environment using Kubernetes.
- Good programming habits, familiarity with Git version control, focused on code quality maintainability.
- Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical learning abilities.
- Strong sense of responsibility team spirit, with good communication collaboration skills.

We will give priority to who:
- Have knowledge of AI models algorithms, including traditional ML models, LLMs, diffusion models.
- Possess knowledge of backend technology architecture with full-stack development capabilities.
- Have strong system architecture skills, with experience in online system maintenance troubleshooting traffic-related issues.

• To conduct R&D on scalable backend systems fadvanced AI models large-scale data analytics, including prototyping distributed architectures freal-time data processing;
• To research develop high-performance solutions fconcurrency scalability challenges in AI applications (e.g., polyglot persistence, network optimisations);
• To prototype microservices container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) to build infrastructures that enhances AI training/inference data analytics efficiency; and
• To apply advanced design patterns (e.g., Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture) in R&D projects to innovative backend frameworks fAI workflows.

Masters degree above in Computer Science related disciplines with at least 1 year of working experience. Working experience is not compulsory fMasters/Doctoral degree holders;
• With experience in emerging backend languages (Rust, Kotlin, Scala) as well as Architecture exposure in audio/video processing, game servers, financial core systems, large-scale model inference platforms is preferred; and
• With proven track record of leading systems from “0→1” scaling from millions to billions in traffic. Skilled with Open-source ContributMaintainer (GitHub profile required) is preferred.
Note: Such degree-holders should be from a well-recognised university, which is among the top 100 universities fSTEM-related subjects in the latest publication of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) (also known as Shanghai Ranking), Times Higher Education U.S. News World Reports Best Global Universities Rankings (USNWR).
