The Direct(Government Affairs) fSAP Greater China is responsible fdeveloping executing strategies fgovernment regulatory engagements in China, aligning with SAPs business objectives. The person is expected to work in partnership with internal stakeholders, anticipating engaging on policies regulations with an impact on SAP operations business growth. The role also involves identifying political social developments beneficial to the industry working towards bramplification.
Responsibilities
Public Policy
This role will be responsible for:
• Supporting the company’s success by actively monitoring regulatory & policy initiatives in the most relevant areas related to the company, such as AI, cloud, digital economy, trade, etc. develop SAP’s positions influences on these topics.
• Proactively communicating with internal cross-functional teams around political, legislative, regulatory trends, opportunity risks that may impact SAP.
Thought leadership
• This role will be responsible fpositioning SAP as a trusted partner to the government increase the company’s market leadership in related government events.
• Strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders to actively pursue shape policies opportunities favorable to SAP business.
Strategic Business Support
• This role will be critical to support the company’s strategic initiatives as well as daily operations.
• This role will support the company in risk prevention crisis management.
Stakeholder Management
This role will be responsible fidentifying, developing, managing the relationship with key government stakeholders to advance the company’s business most effectively.
• Key stakeholders include but not limited to MOFCOM, NDRC, MOFA, CCPIT other central government authorities.
• Key stakeholders also include policy think-tanks, industry associations, academia, chambers, internationalganizations, foreign embassies in China, etc.
Compliance
This role shall strictly comply with the ethics compliance standards of SAP in all aspects.
Qualifications
· Minimum 15 years of related experiences.
· Demonstrated ability to build execute public policy programs that support business operation growth.
· Ability to work cross-functionally with both headquarter APAC regional teams.
· Committed to team’s goal collective success.
· Written spoken English communication skills.
· IT industry knowledge preferred.
· Previous working experiences with government its affiliated institutions is preferred.
