中国纺织品进出口商会成立于1988年，是在民政部注册登记，具有独立法人地位的全国性社会团体，是中国乃至全球纺织服装贸易行业*大的中介组织，会员企业年度进出口额占中国纺织服装贸易总额的70%以上。
纺织商会的宗旨是：维护行业和会员企业的利益，促进中国纺织服装进出口贸易的可持续发展，职能可归纳为“协调、指导、咨询、服务”，主要工作涵盖行业调研、广交会、对外交流、应对贸易摩擦、国内外展览、会议论坛、贸易法律服务和信息统计服务等。
