Wuhan North-South Pole Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Co., Ltd. is a limited liability company initiated and established by the Chinese Antarctic Center for Surveying and Mapping on the basis of its existing scientific and technical personnel, instruments and equipment, and a large number of research achievements. The company was officially registered in 2005, with Professor E Dongchen, a Chinese polar surveying and mapping scientist and academician of the Eurasian Academy of Engineering, serving as chairman. The company holds a Class B surveying and mapping qualification in Hubei Province. Its business scope includes organizing polar science popularization expeditions, undertaking geographic information system engineering, GPS surveying, engineering surveying, marine surveying and mapping, cadastral surveying, detailed land surveys, aerial photogrammetry and remote sensing, electronic map production, and map compilation-related services, as well as carrying out research and development of new surveying and mapping technologies, software development, and system integration services. The company's main research and development personnel have won more than ten national or provincial/ministerial-level scientific research achievement awards, and have applied for software copyright certificates for multiple software products with fully independent intellectual property rights. In recent years, the company has undertaken dozens of international and domestic engineering surveying projects. It has a favorable scientific research environment and production conditions, well-equipped facilities, and a team composed of strong scientific and technological forces.
