United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. (UAES) is a joint venture in China between Zhonglian Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. and Robert Bosch GmbH of Germany, with a total investment of RMB 2.668 billion.
The headquarters, technology center, and Shanghai production plant of UAES are located in Jinqiao Export Processing Zone, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with branch companies in Wuxi National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Xi'an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Wuhu Jiujiang Economic Development Zone, Chongqing Yubei Airport Development Zone, and Guantang Entrepreneurship Park, Liudong New Area, Liuzhou. Leveraging advanced technology advantages and professional management, UAES has achieved excellent business performance. Its products are supplied to major domestic manufacturers of sedans, mini vehicles, and light vehicles, and are exported as original parts for complete vehicles to European, North American, and Japanese markets. In 2017, the company achieved sales revenue of RMB 22.6 billion, holding a dominant position in China's electronic fuel injection market.
UAES primarily develops, calibrates, and produces electronic control systems for vehicle applications (gasoline engine management systems, automotive body electronics, and transmission control systems) and their components, as well as powertrain systems for hybrid and electric vehicles (including power electronics, electric motors) and their components. While introducing world-leading new products and technologies (including gasoline direct injection technology), the company also persistently builds local development capabilities. The UAES Technology Center boasts internationally first-class emission testing laboratories, component development laboratories, high-temperature chassis dynamometer laboratories, low-temperature chassis dynamometer laboratories, electronics laboratories, engine rooms, and emission dynamometer laboratories. Its state-of-the-art design and configuration effectively provide high-quality emission testing and calibration services to various domestic automotive manufacturers, while also meeting testing and vehicle calibration requirements for European, American, Japanese, and other international emission standards.

UAES, established in December 1995, is a joint venture between Bosch (BOSCH), one of the Fortune Global 500 automotive parts manufacturers from Germany, and Zhonglian Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. It is one of the largest joint ventures in China producing automotive parts. Introducing world-advanced technologies, it possesses the capability to professionally produce and sell gasoline engine management systems, automotive body electronics, and transmission control systems and their components. It is a high-tech enterprise integrating product production, technology R&D, market sales, and after-sales service.
The headquarters of UAES is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with branch plants and technology centers in Wuxi, Xi'an, Chongqing, Wuhu, Liuzhou, Taicang, and Suzhou. The Wuxi Plant is located in Wuxi National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; Phase I covers an area of 30,000 square meters, and Phase II covers an area of 50,000 square meters with a total equipment investment of RMB 900 million for Phase II. It mainly produces fuel injectors, fuel rail assemblies, and other products for engine management systems. To date, the Wuxi Plant has 14 production lines in mass production. By 2012 and 2013, three major products—high-pressure pumps, high-pressure injectors, and DSG transmission hydraulic modules—will be introduced here. It is expected that by 2013, the total number of employees will reach 1,000.
