Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., formerly known as Xianju Pharmaceutical Factory, was established in 1972. It is the largest and most comprehensive manufacturer of steroidal drugs in China, a designated manufacturer for national family planning drugs, a key high-tech enterprise under the National Torch Plan, a national contract-honoring and credit-keeping enterprise, and an outstanding innovative unit in Zhejiang Province. The company has a total share capital of 341.4 million yuan, covers an area of 337,607 square meters, and employs over 2,000 people, including 30% engineering and technical personnel and 36% sales personnel. It is a comprehensive manufacturer of APIs and preparations.

The company's products are unique. Its main business is the research, development, production, and sales of steroidal APIs and preparations. It mainly produces three categories of drugs: corticosteroids, sex hormones (gynecological and family planning drugs), and anesthetics and muscle relaxants. There are nearly 100 varieties in total. The company has a production capacity of 200 tons of APIs, 7 billion tablets, 500 million capsules, 200 million injections (water for injection), 10 million lyophilized powder injections, 10 million cream preparations, and 10 million bags of granules.

The company has established long-term cooperative relationships with more than 20 renowned domestic research institutes and universities, including the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Pharmaceutical University. It has also invested in the establishment of Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Technology Development Co., Ltd. In recent years, it has successfully developed over 20 high-tech new drug varieties and achieved nearly 30 provincial-level or above scientific research results. Twenty-two products are new drugs. As of now, the company holds 6 patent inventions. It has obtained international certifications for a total of 23 products in 6 countries and regions. The company has a sales team of over 700 people for preparation products, forming two complete sales networks: hospital line and OTC line, and has developed effective sales management and market promotion strategies. The hospital line sales network covers major hospitals above the prefecture level nationwide, establishing business contacts with the obstetrics and gynecology departments of over 2,800 hospitals and the anesthesiology departments of over 3,500 hospitals. The OTC line sales personnel manage over 60,000 pharmacies. The company's international trade department has established business contacts with over 40 API processing enterprises, preparation manufacturers, and traders in more than 30 countries, including the United States, India, and the United Kingdom.

Currently, the company holds controlling interests and investments in enterprises such as Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Sales Co., Ltd. On January 12, 2010, the company was officially listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, successfully entering the capital market. To achieve scale operation, the company has acquired a total of 254,119 square meters of land in the Zhejiang Chemical Raw Materials Base and Xianju Industrial Park as production bases for new API products.
