Changzhou Siyao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive pharmaceutical enterprise integrating drug R&D, production, and sales. It is a national high-tech enterprise, one of China's top 100 chemical pharmaceutical companies, a Jiangsu Province innovative enterprise, and has been awarded the Changzhou Five-Star Industrial Enterprise Grand Prize for 15 consecutive years.
The company has an R&D center focusing on the development of new drugs in therapeutic areas such as digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, anesthetic and psychotropic drugs, specialty drugs, pediatric and geriatric medications. It has established three major technology platforms: sterile lyophilized injections, DDS/TTS controlled/sustained-release formulations, transdermal systems, and drug synthesis. It has built the Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Sustained/Controlled Release Drug New Formulations and a joint laboratory with China Pharmaceutical University. The company has completed 8 projects under the National 863 Program and key science and technology projects, and holds 93 authorized independent invention patents. In 2015, the project "Development and Industrialization of Green Key Technologies for Antihypertensive Drug Valsartan (Vaike®)" won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2019, "Key Technologies for Peptide Drug Development and New Drug R&D" won the first prize of the Ministry of Education's Technology Invention Award. The first-developed new drugs, Anlieke® Injection and Duolimu® Tablets, have been rated as China's top ten prescription drug blockbuster new products. Key products such as Asikejia Capsules, Piroxicam Patches, and Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Enteric-Coated Tablets are poised for growth. The company continues to focus on innovation, advancing new drug development and expanding product pipelines, including small-molecule drugs such as nanomedicines, women's specialty medications, AD/COPD geriatric drugs, psychotropic substances, and diagnostic reagents, among other areas.
The company now operates a modern plant that meets GMP standards both domestically and internationally, with an annual production capacity of 5 billion tablets (bottles) of oral solid DDS formulations and oral liquids, 100 million units of sterile lyophilized injections and injectables, and 100 million doses of TTS transdermal patches and creams. It has passed international certifications for ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSMS18001 management systems.
