Liyuan Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology is located on the shore of the beautiful East Lake in Wuhan and is a hospital directly affiliated with and administered by the National Health Commission. To build a world-class clinical medical center for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, Liyuan Hospital will, within three years, complete a cardiovascular internal medicine department with 350-400 beds, including 4-6 standard interventional procedure rooms and a non-invasive cardiovascular function examination and research laboratory. Once completed, it will integrate medical care, teaching, and research to provide *advanced and *efficient specialized medical services for patients with cardiovascular diseases in the central region.
To promote the construction of the center, with strong support from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Tongji Medical College, the hospital has appointed Professor Huang Kai, Vice President of Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, as Distinguished Professor and Director of the Cardiovascular Clinical Medical Center, fully presiding over the work of the center.
